Stunning M1 dining table designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for Skipper, Italy, in the 1970s.

Entirely crafted from beautiful grey marble (Grigio Mondragone), featuring striking white and dark veining throughout. The natural variations in the stone give the table a rich and distinctive appearance. The circular tabletop rests on a solid conical marble base. A recessed opening underneath the tabletop allows the base to fit securely into place, creating a stable construction without the need for additional fixings. A beautiful example of Italian modernist design, combining a minimalist silhouette with the natural beauty of marble.

Condition:

In very good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use.

Dimensions:

72.5cm H x 130cm W x 130cm D

This unusual treatment gives the metal its characteristic dark blue finish, with subtle variations in colour and reflection depending on the light.

A striking example of French modernist design, the 'Limande' lounge chair was designed by Kwok Hoi Chan for Steiner Paris in 1969.

The chair features a distinctive low-slung silhouette with a beautifully curved tubular chrome frame and black leather upholstery. Its generously proportioned seat, raised sides, and separate backrest create an unusual combination of comfort and strong geometric lines. The continuous chrome frame flows around the seat and backrest, forming the armrests and cantilevered base. The contrast between the polished chrome and black leather gives the chair its unmistakable appearance. This example retains its Steiner Paris manufacturer's label and is presented in amazing condition, with well-preserved black leather and a beautifully maintained chrome frame.
