Polygonon Table by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for B&B Italia, 1980s

An exceptional Polygonon dining table designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for B&B Italia in the 1980s.

The table features a circular top in deep blue smoked glass, resting on a distinctive geometric pedestal crafted from electro-treated stainless steel. This unusual treatment gives the metal its characteristic dark blue finish, with subtle variations in colour and reflection depending on the light.

The angular, architectural base provides a beautiful contrast to the clean circular glass top. Its combination of materials, proportions and geometric forms is characteristic of the experimental Italian furniture design of the 1980s.

Condition:

In very good vintage condition.  Wear consistent with age and use.
