Sculptural Organic Wooden Cabinet, Pucci de Rossi style, 1970s

This striking sculptural chest of drawers exemplifies the expressive possibilities of the late 20th century. Handcrafted in walnut, the piece features a dynamic, sinuous silhouette with softly flowing contours that give it an almost biomorphic presence. The vertically oriented form rises elegantly from a shaped base, emphasizing movement and rhythm throughout the composition. The case houses five smoothly contoured drawers, each fitted with a discreet turned wooden pull and framed by subtly faceted surrounds that enhance the sculptural depth of the façade. A rich, warm finish highlights the natural grain of the wood, underscoring the maker’s careful attention to material and surface. Balancing functional storage with strong artistic character, this chest reads equally as a piece of fine furniture and as a freestanding sculptural object. We think it’s from Pucci de Rossi, but we can’t find the same example.
