Art Deco Table Lamp with Pleated Fabric Shade, 1950s

Unusual French table lamp from circa 1950, featuring a distinctive wooden base resting on three large spherical feet.

The combination of contrasting wood tones and repeated rounded forms gives the lamp a playful and highly decorative character. Particularly beautiful is the original pleated lampshade with decorative trim, which has been preserved with the lamp and produces a wonderfully warm, atmospheric glow when illuminated. The wood and shade show an attractive vintage patina and age-related wear.
