Utrecht “637” lounge chair in leopard velvet by Gerrit Rietveld for Cassina

Lounge chair designed by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld in 1935. Manufactured by Cassina in Italy, 1980s.

Reupholstered in a bold Mimi leopard ombré velvet that embraces all that there is to love about leopard. Mimi is a union of sophistication and complexity, where épinglé velvet depicts a classic leopard spot with a twist. Layers of design and varying tonal shades give an illusion of movement, while an ombré ground creates a beautiful gradation of colour and instils an animalistic likeness.
