This is a genuine 1st edition Joe Colombo’s Classic “Tube” or “Tubo” chair, constructed from fiberglass shells overlaid with foam and yellow vinyl, each of the four tubes can be re-arranged to make a variety of seating arrangements and is held together by steel and rubber clips. Each tube slides into the next size up for ease of transport or storage when not in use, it conforms perfectly to Colombo’s experiments with modular living at the time. This example is completely original. The vinyl and connecting clips have heavy signs of use. But that makes it even more special!
A true collector’s item!
Condition:
Wear consistent with age and use. In fully original condition. Heavy signs of use. No instability!
