Rare early edition “Anfibio” (amphibian) sofa designed by Alessandro Becchi for Giovannetti Collezioni. It is reupholstered in a stunning linen and viscose mix Pila fabric by Bruder Belgium and can easily be converted into a double bed. This piece of furniture is a wonderful and emblematic example of the Italian modern design of the 1970s.

It has the original sheepskin mattress cover. Cleaned and fresh. The bottom has signs of use.

The Anfibio sofa ranks among the most outstanding cult products of Italian design. It is innovative, original, and highly functional; it is a revolutionary sofa-bed, a symbol of high quality and sapient artisanry. It is possible to find it in the permanent collection of 13 museums worldwide, among which the MoMa in New York, since 1972.

In excellent condition because of the new fabric. Original cleaned sheepskin cover. The bottom has signs of use.
