Mario Bellini ‘Gli Scacchi’ elements for C&B Italy, 1970s

Mario Bellini desiged the ‘gli scacchi’ meaning ‘the chess’ in 1971. Self-skinning polyurethane was used as a material which is long lasting and easy to clean. The separated ‘chess’ fragments can be used as stools or as side tables. Their geomtric shape makes it easy to arrange them single or in a group in different arrangements. They have the manufacturer’s mark on the bottom.

In a good vintage condition! Marks of usage consistent with age and use.
