Alouette ceramic coffee table by Roger Capron, Vallauris,1970s

Rare ceramic tile coffee table designed by Roger Capron and produced in Vallauris during the 1970s.

The table features twelve hand-carved ceramic stoneware tiles with deeply incised geometric decoration and richly layered volcanic glaze tones, set within the original stained oak frame and base. An exceptional example of Capron’s architectural ceramic work, balancing strong brutalist geometry with refined material depth and texture. The modular tile composition and earthy glaze palette create a sculptural presence from every angle.
